Dendrobium speciosum
Known as "Tar-Beri" to the Aborigines, and "Rock Lily" or "King Orchid" to other Australians, this magnificent orchid amazes one and all around the entire world! It blooms extraordinarily with flower-laden plumes of fragrant, creamy white to yellow flowers. Here in Santa Barbara, these plants grow wonderfully outdoors with the Cymbidiums. With some sun protection, these light-loving plants are very well adapted to garden and landscape use in sub-tropical areas. Some customers also report flowering success in a cool to intermediate greenhouse.

Dendrobium speciosum var. speciosum 'Golden Girl'
One of the more compact growing forms of Dendrobium speciosum, this plant has plumes of buttery yellow flowers. Flower size and inflorescence are similar to other varieties, sometimes blooming fifty or more flowers on each erect to arching stem. . Temperature Tolerant. February - March blooming.
