Colorful sprays of showy blossoms are on prominent display from this Encyclia hybrid. The flowers are enchanting hues of rich and smoky burgundy with accents of bright coral-pink tint, and each has a broad and frilly magenta lip. Mature foliage may stand up to 10 inches tall, with upright to arching flower sprays held well above. An outstanding and compact companion plants to Cymbidiums and outdoor Laelias.
This hybrid enjoys slightly larger flowers than most Encyclias, because of its parent Encyclia Purple Glory (recently reclassified as a Catyclia) which also lends its' wine hues. The smoky color and showy pink lip are from the Encyclia hanburyi parent.
Established blooming-size seedlings. 'Seedlings' are the offspring of pollination; as siblings they may be very similar, yet each seedling is unique and no two seedlings are identical in precise color or shape.
