This intriguing, miniature species from Colombia has compact, succulent-like foliage and produces distinctive, charming flowers. These perky green flowers have a large, shiny, cocoa-red lip, and are each about the size of a nickel. When in bloom, this great miniature is only about five inches tall, and that's including the pot! In its native habitat, this species grows epiphytically in pine and oak forests at elevations up to 6000 feet. In cultivation, it grows well under intermediate conditions, but will also grow outside with Cymbidiums.
