For those with a love of the unusual this is one of the all time favorite species. The handsome, vanilla-scented flowers are just one of its charms: this orchid is one of a select few that is also admired solely for the plant itself: uncommon, compact-growing at the base, excellent in hanging baskets, and utterly distinctive!
The species is named for its signature, unique foliage, and the key feature: cascading, slender, pseudobulbs that have squared, angular edges, ending in a tuft of leaves. Hence "tetragonum", for the square pseudobulb Dendrobium!
Established blooming-size seedlings. 'Seedlings' are the offspring of pollination; as siblings they may be similar, yet each is unique and no two are identical in precise color or shape.
Temperature Tolerant. December - January blooming. Species from Australia.
