Dendrobium kingianum 'Albert West' This is a famous old-time variety of one of our favorite species, the very resilient
Dendrobium kingianum. A superb compact plant for outdoor growing alongside
Cymbidiums or
Cattleya alliance.
To encourage flower spike production over the growth of keiki-foliage,
kingianums do best sheltered from Winter rains, especially in very wet years. Not recommended as a house plant, unless nighttime Winter temperatures for the growing area are reliably in the upper 40’s and light is bright.
Established blooming-size divisions from our mother-plant, the single-flower spike plants offered here are smaller plants than the one in the reference photo thumbnail.
