These are among the most hardy of outdoor orchids. The Eastern slopes, valleys, and shoreline of Australia are known to be similar to California. These orchids grow wild there, because such places in Australia receive year round rainfall, and although they can not grow wild in California they are right at home under typical garden care. These plants vary in size, some are more miniature and others become truly gigantic specimens. Wonderful for rock gardens, ground beds, potted, and on hillsides, trees, and fences. Flower color ranges from shades of purples and pinks, to yellows, and white. Some varieties are highly fragrant.
Specimens range from $50 to $350 depending on size and variety.( Pricing for Dendrobium speciosum, the specimen feature in the back of the truck, is unique. Because this plant is valued as much for its non-flowering landscape quality as its flowers, specimen pricing ranges from $250 to $325. As a guide, a $250 specimen would look appropriate in a 5 gallon container)
Prices start at: $50.00
