A very rare species in cultivation today. It is closely related to Cym. iridiodes and to Cym. lowianum, but it grows to be a much more compact plant. Growth habit is somewhat miniature, with overall plant height only reaching about 18 inches tall, when in flower. The flower spike grows straight up and then arches over. It is very free-blooming, the flowers are of red-brown with yellow undertones. Named for Baron Schroeder, of England, in whose collection it first bloomed.Cool growing. January - March blooming.
