This charming species is classified in the Subgenus Cyperorchis, section Iridorchis, some of its closest relatives being tracyanum, iridiodes, and hookerianum. Compact plant with narrow foliage, about two feet high, with arching (semi-pendant) sprays of dainty tiger-striped flowers.
Cool growing. Winter blooming. Species from the Himalaya of northern India to western China. |
